Chris Raines, Founder of Raines Geostrategy, has worked in global mobility and workforce strategy since 2010, advising organizations ranging from emerging startups to Fortune 500 enterprises. As the son of expatriates, his formative years spanned three continents, ultimately shaping his worldview and career. For Chris, global mobility is not merely a profession, but a personal foundation and enduring passion.

Chris began his career behind the scenes at a consulting company, supporting a wide range of corporate clients. This experience provided exposure to the full spectrum of global mobility program designs, operating models, and business challenges. Working across organizations and industries offered him insight into how mobility functions differently depending on a company’s size, maturity, growth stage, and strategic priorities.

He later transitioned into global people operations leadership roles at Fortune 500 companies and high-growth technology organizations, guiding businesses through critical phases of scale, transformation, and IPO readiness.

Across every environment, Chris has learned that mobility is never one-size-fits-all and that ownership of mobility often extends far beyond relocation, influencing immigration strategy, payroll infrastructure, compliance frameworks, talent planning, and enabling entry into entirely new markets.

Today, he works with companies to build, scale, and modernize global mobility and workforce programs that align directly with business outcomes. Chris has mentored emerging corporate mobility professionals since 2019 and, since 2025, has served as a Board Member of the Southern California Relocation Council.

In recognition of his industry leadership, Chris was named a Global Mobility Top 100 AI Champion by Benivo in both 2025 and 2026 and was recognized by Who’s Who in America in 2026.
